FHLCS Honors 2020 Graduates

Congratulations, FHLCS Class of 2020!!

On Thursday, June 4, our 2020 graduates experienced the most unique graduation ceremony in FHLCS history.  In keeping with following the Governor’s guidelines for social distancing, Forest Hills partnered with Cornelius Act V Cinema to provide a Drive-In graduation experience.  Families gathered at the drive in movie theater parking lot and tuned in to an FM station to hear the graduation speeches, a message from Pastor Nick Koschmann of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Forest Grove, and to hear their names called to receive their diplomas.

The ceremony also featured a special song for the graduates from eighth grade teacher, Mr. Terry Plucknett, and the recognition of the Top Academic Award, the Faszholz Christian Service Award, and the Dan Seim Run the Race award.

While it was certainly odd to have a graduation from their cars, the graduates were extremely thankful for the event, and some claimed it was the best grad ever!  We wish all of our graduates God’s richest blessings as He guides them through the next steps in life!
