Forest Hills Nutrition Program
At Forest Hills Lutheran Christian School, we believe school lunch should be both nutritious and enjoyable. The FHLCS Nutrition Program provides students, staff, and visiting family members with quality meals prepared with care right here in our school community.
Hot Lunch Program
Our nutrition program offers hot lunch Monday through Thursday, with sandwiches and salad bar options on Fridays. Lunch is offered on a preorder basis, making it easy for families to plan ahead while ensuring fresh, well-prepared meals are available each day.
Daily Salad Bar
Students also have access to a daily salad bar, which can be enjoyed on its own or added to a hot lunch order (salad bar side option available to grades 3-8). The salad bar provides fresh options that help students build balanced meals they’ll love.
Dietary Accommodations
The nutrition program staff are well-versed in limiting cross-contamination. We strive to serve every student well. Gluten-free and dairy-free substitutions are available so that students with dietary needs can still enjoy school lunch.
Friday Cookie Days
Fridays bring a special treat with our popular Cookie Day! Two Fridays a month fresh cookies are offered with flavors rotating monthly to keep things fun and delicious.
A Community-Supported Program
The FHLCS Nutrition Program is a self-sustaining program, meaning that all costs are covered through the meals that are sold. Thanks to the volunteers and generous donations from our Forest Hills community, we are able to keep meal prices affordable while still providing high-quality meals for students, staff, and visiting family members.
